Welcome to Malawi! On your arrival at Lilongwe International Airport, you will be met by our team then collecting your luggage, your driver/guide will transfer you to Latitude 13 Degrees Hotel. You will stay here for the night before you cross the border to Zambia.
You’ll find Latitude 13° nestled in the leafy lanes on the northern edge of Malawi’s capital city, Lilongwe. We’re a hotel 10 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from Kamuzu International Airport.

Next, you head to the famous valley of the leopards, South Luangwa National Park. You will stay at the gorgeous Chikunto Lodge for the next five nights of your tour.
Right on the banks of the Luangwa River, there is abundant wildlife and very few other lodges in the area so you should have all the views to yourself! Enjoy some excellent big cat sightings as well as huge herds of elephants, pods of hippo, plenty of birds and the famous endemic Thornicroft giraffe. Enjoy a luxury safari experience in the untouched wilderness set along the iconic Luangwa River.

Today you will head back to Lilongwe to stay for the night at Latitude 13 Degrees Hotel, before you proceed to Liwonde National Park for yet another great bush adventure.

As your tour gets more exciting, today you will head to Liwonde. Your driver/guide will transfer you to Mvuu Lodge situated along the Shire River right within Liwonde National Park.
You will spend three nights on the Shire River exploring the conservation success that is in the park on land and the river, from its thriving populations of black rhino and cheetah to the endless bird species. This is the perfect place to experience Malawi’s flourishing wildlife.

After your morning game activity, you will today head your way to the lake, Malawi’s crowning jewel, your driver/guide will transfer you to Cape Maclear in Magochi for your scheduled boat transfer to Mumbo Island. You will spend nights of digital detox, situated on a gorgeous island in the middle of the lake and surrounded by turquoise waters is Mumbo Island. Snorkel the crystal-clear lake and experience breath-taking sunset views from Pod Rock.
Mumbo Island is a pristine and deserted tropical island floating on the expansive waters of the Lake Malawi National Park. With a maze of massive underwater boulders, innumerable species of colourful cichlid fish and calm, clear water, the National Park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkelling and SCUBA diving in the world.
You will wind up your adventure in the Warm Heart of Africa at Nankoma Island, a lonely and private Island situated within lake Malawi at Senga Bay. You will this morning be transferred back to the mainland to meet your driver/guide who will then transfer you to Senga for your boat transfer to Blue Zebra Island Lodge, a beautiful piece of paradise.
During your stay at the island, our trusted doctor will come ashore to conduct your COVID 19 tests, preparing you for your onward travel.
Today you will be transported off the island and back into Lilongwe to collect your results certificate and catch your flight home.
