Special shoutout to our guides, Onesmo and Emmanuel, who we strongly recommend to future trekkers. They made our experience fun, had so many stories to tell and were of amazing support, especially during summit night. We could not have done it without them for sure, as it was our first experience of long/high altitude trek. We felt very safe with them and they keps reasuring us on our capabilities.
Special thanks also to our cook Abbu who kept providing us with amazing dishes as the trek went on and of course to the team fighters (porters) who are the real heroes! (Team Hapana)

The pre-trip organisation was also really smooth and enjoyable. Evarist, Laurent and Michael were all very available and quick to reply to our many questions.

One of our friends who made the Kili climb few years ago recommended the local agency #Kilimanjaro Hereos Adventures based in Moshi.
After a quick review of European companies, we decided to go ahead with them. Evarist, the owner has been very reactive by answering all of our questions during few months. He has been key in our preparation and helped us to purchase the right equipment for the climb, select all lodges soon enough for the safari.
We arrived from Nairobi using a shuttle bus to Moshi and met our wonderful guide Mwinyi and very helpful Michael at our hotel in the evening for the briefing.
The day after, after dancing with the team including guides, cookers and porters, we left all together the hotel for Day#1 of the climb.
The first 5 days have been great with very nice food prepared daily by Prosper and Salum. Our guide Mwinyi assisted by Nyokaa, Calvin and Glory have been key to the successful climb to Uhuru peak. Mwinyi was always making sure how we feel, took very good care of all the smileykili team. Calvin was leading the hike rythme ‘pole pole’ in order to make sure we keep enough energy until the end. Nyokaa was always there in these moments when you need some motivation and was playing good music when not singing. Glory gave us the right spirit with a constant positive attitude. Our porters have done a great job as well. All I can say is this experience would never be possible without there assistance. Day#6 has been very challenging due to mountain thickness but the team helped us to overcome all difficulties. Our family included my wife, our 3 children 20, 17 and 16 years old and myself.
We rented mattresses, trekking poles and took the chemical toilet as a comfort option.
Thanks again to our guides, cookers and porters. We will never forget about you.
After resting one night in Moshi, we started our safari tour with a very nice guide called Hilary. He drove us to Taranguire, Serengeti, and Ngonrongoro crater. We have seen lions, elephants, giraffes, zebra, rhinoceros, buffalos, a leopard hidden in a tree and many more. A great experience was about the gnous migration crossing the Mara river. All lodges booked few months in advance by Evarist were really nice, with a special note for mawemawe
All in all, I can only recommend the #Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures to any person who wants to either climb the Kilimanjaro or make a safari

We chose to... read more take the Lemosho route for the ascension as we were advised it was the nicest and the less crowdy of the main routes. We were so pleased with this choice! And we couldn't have dreamed for a better team with us. Each of them were always so supportive, positive and professional. The happy team! We will never forget them. And our guides Siza and Dominic have been amazing to us from the start to finish.
The safari with our guide Georges was also very nice, with impressive sceneries and animals going close to us. We would definitely recommend people to go to the Ngorongoro park.
We would add that the communication with Evarist was very easy and effective during the organization of the trip.
We highly recommend any people interested to go with Kilimanjaro Adventures Heroes!
